Job Overview
The British Society of Gastroenterology is seeking a skilled clinician to undertake a fully funded 3-year Clinical Research Fellowship in Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)-related Cirrhosis. The successful candidate will join a dynamic research team working on a cutting-edge clinical and translational project to explore the factors that determine how NAFLD progresses to cirrhosis.

About the Role
This position provides an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious clinician to develop a comprehensive understanding of clinical/translational research and to study for a PhD. According to the appointee's level of clinical training, there may also be opportunities for further specialist hepatology experience within the Freeman Hospital Liver Transplant Unit.

Key Responsibilities
The successful fellow will contribute to the design, conduct, and analysis of studies related to NAFLD progression and biomarkers. They will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, scientists, and researchers to identify and address key research questions. Additionally, they will participate in the development of protocols, reports, and presentations related to the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a strong background in clinical medicine and research. A degree in a relevant field such as gastroenterology or hepatology is essential. In addition, the ideal candidate should have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
