The hourly rate for this position falls between $25.00ph - $30.00ph, contingent upon qualifications held and their equivalence to the Certificate in Health and Wellbeing L4.

Job Description:

As a Literacy Facilitator/Support Worker, you will provide individualized support to develop client life skills, promoting community participation and successful entry into the mainstream labour market. This role entails facilitating literacy programs, identifying and assessing needs, setting goals, coaching, and providing one-on-one and/or group support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or equivalent
  • New Zealand Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy or similar relevant qualification/experience
  • Full NZ Drivers Licence
  • Valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship
  • Experience working with intellectual disability and complex behaviours
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
