The Role in Detail:

We are seeking a Forensic Psychiatrist to work within our multidisciplinary team, providing expert psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment to individuals involved in the justice system. As a Forensic Psychiatrist, you will work closely with Courts, Corrections, and other agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose individuals involved in the justice system, including those with complex mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
  • Provide expert opinions and testimony in Court proceedings, as required
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
