Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Conservation District Manager to join our team in the Auckland Marine District. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for leading the development of effective conservation plans and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of conservation plans and strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various workstreams to ensure effective conservation outcomes.
  • Manage compliance cases, including monitoring legislative requirements for operating commercial vessels.
  • Advising on concessions and permit applications, ensuring alignment with DOC's conservation goals.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with ability to develop and implement effective conservation plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in report writing.
  • Familiarity with conservation legislation and management practices.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and work on weekends/public holidays as required.
