Role Overview

This Senior Manager role is critical in helping protect ASB and its customers from the impact of fraud and scams. You'll lead an expert team, manage stakeholder relationships, balance deliveries, and model senior leadership.

You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring service levels and standards are maintained, and applying thought leadership to data analytics.

  • Lead teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness in Fraud Operations.
  • Maintain high-quality service levels and standards through staff training and development.
  • Present statistical results to non-technical business audiences.
  • Apply expertise in data analytics, AI, and machine learning to enhance risk management.
  • Monitor performance and recommend changes to fraud monitoring, balancing efficiency with customer experience and risk appetite.
  • Benchmark Fraud rule sets against industry data, liaising with stakeholders.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and developing their skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, question assumptions, and articulate risk.
  • Effective relationship-building across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven leadership with a focus on delivering outcomes.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics within AML/CFT, Fraud, Credit Risk Management, or Finance.
  • Exposure to regulated industries and tertiary qualifications in Financial or Statistical Analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with confidence presenting complex data.
  • Experience in SQL/Python query building and execution.
