Engender Technologies is a pioneering startup revolutionizing the dairy industry with a groundbreaking method of gender selection at the sperm stage. We are seeking an experienced Precision Engineering Specialist to join our R&D team.

The ideal candidate will support our technical teams by providing high-quality machining services, including precision engineering of existing components and/or fabrication of new components to support the development of cutting-edge instrumentation for microfluidic cell sorting.

This role requires expertise in programming, setting up, running, and maintenance of CNC mills. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing optimization and improvement of Engender's microfabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication and production of key components for Engender's sorting platform to specification;
  • Responsible for programming, setting up, running, and maintenance of CNC mill;
  • Contributing to the ongoing optimization and improvement of Engender's microfabrication processes;
  • Assembly drawing preparation for manufacturing including version control and documentation of the designs and fabrication methods for key components of Engender's sperm sorting platform;
  • Support analysis and presentation of results to the R&D team to inform progress and decision making;
  • Actively participate in wider discussions that contribute to Engender's fabrication techniques and sub-system design;
  • Inspection and maintenance of machinery, performing routine machinery repairs within their expertise;
  • Fostering a positive culture that reflects Engender's values, including adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
