About the Role

This exciting opportunity exists within our EIT | Te Pukenga team, where you will have the chance to lead our wellbeing and organisational culture efforts. You will work closely with our Wellbeing and Safety Lead to develop and implement strategies that promote a proactive culture of health, safety, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Championing a proactive health, safety, and wellbeing culture
  • Developing strategic frameworks and providing expert advice
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and managing critical risks
  • Leading emergency preparedness and response efforts
  • Investigating serious incidents and supporting staff and students

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or Wellbeing
  • Professional accreditation preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years in a senior health and safety role
  • Proven experience in leading cultural change and embedding best practices
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation
