About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse and Distribution Manager to lead our warehouse operations in Auckland, New Zealand. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe, organized environment that meets business goals and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive warehouse strategy to optimize inventory management, streamline storage operations, and support business growth.
- Lead and implement a future-focused strategy for automation improvements within the warehouse, enhancing efficiency and operational capacity.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Lean principles to drive efficiencies and minimize waste across all warehouse processes.
- Provide ongoing support, training, and development opportunities for warehouse personnel, preparing team members for future growth and internal mobility.
- Ensure alignment with cross-functional teams (Sales, Production, Customer Service) to maintain smooth workflows and meet service standards.
About You
- 5 years experience in a relevant warehouse or distribution management role.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Meticulous approach to managing inventory, processes, and quality control.
- Solid understanding and aptitude for Lean principles and a commitment to continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, Lean methodologies like 5S and Kanban, and strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to motivate and develop a team, while maintaining productivity and achieving business goals.
