This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of energy and infrastructure delivery in a fast-evolving sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies in collaboration with business unit leaders.
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal compliance.
  • Monitor market trends, identify risks and opportunities, and provide clear recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Procurement & Supply Chain Management:
  • Lead the development and ongoing management of a fit-for-purpose procurement policy.
  • Work closely with operational teams to manage strategic inventory levels and ensure effective use of working capital.
  • Negotiate procurement agreements for critical equipment and services.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and procurement processes.
  • Risk & Insurance Management:
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate key commercial risks across the business.
  • Manage the annual insurance renewal process, ensuring effective coverage and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all commercial arrangements are compliant with relevant laws and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in commercial management, preferably in infrastructure, utilities, or energy.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proven track record in negotiating and managing commercial agreements.
  • Experience leading procurement strategies and supplier relationship management.
  • Confident in assessing and managing risk within a commercial environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
