Community Focused
As a Health Promotion Coordinator at Te Taiwhenua O Heretaunga, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of whanau in the Central Hawkes Bay community. You will be working closely with community members, building strong relationships and providing essential support services. This role requires a genuine passion for improving health outcomes and a commitment to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our community.

Responsibilities
- Deliver educational programmes to whanau, promoting healthy lifestyles and well-being
- Refer whanau to services, providing guidance and support throughout the process
- Coordinate and facilitate various programs focused on healthy lifestyles, aligned with national health promotion initiatives
- Develop strong relationships with community members, building trust and confidence in our services
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with stakeholders using Microsoft Office and medical databases

Requirements
- Ability to build strong relationships with community members
- Experience in delivering educational programmes and supporting individuals and whanau
- Community connections and local knowledge
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical databases
- Empathy and rapport with diverse communities
- Physical fitness and a non-smoking status
- Proficiency in Te Reo and understanding of tikanga
- A positive attitude, using initiative, proactive, and self-motivated
- Certificate in Health Promotion or similar (desirable)
