Job Overview
This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive leadership experience in workplace safety, particularly in industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing strategic guidance to regional or executive leadership teams, ensuring effective compliance and implementation of good practices and continuous improvement in safety performance.
The successful candidate will also possess excellent stakeholder relationship management skills, as well as the ability to drive collaborative change and promote a culture of safety at all levels of the business.

About the Role:
Key Responsibilities include developing and executing HSE strategies, managing HSE reporting requirements, overseeing risk assessments, and collaborating with operational leaders to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance across operations and the broader business.
The role also involves coaching and guiding managers, leaders, and safety professionals on safety leadership, promoting a culture of safety and implementing practical health, safety, and environmental compliance solutions and behavioural safety improvement programs.

What You'll Need to Succeed: Extensive leadership experience in workplace safety within an industrial environment; experience working with New Zealand or equivalent HSE regulatory bodies; ability to drive collaborative change and stakeholder relationships; team management experience and working knowledge of environmental compliance; and experience in step changing safety through engineering and physical controls.
