About the Role

This 12-month fixed-term opportunity offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on the lives of rangatahi (youth) and their whānau (families). You will work collaboratively with police, youth advocates, and community support services to provide early intervention and prevention strategies that address the root causes of offending.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective case plans to address the needs of rangatahi and their whānau
  • Build strong relationships with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provide professional written and verbal feedback to the courts
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements

  • A social work qualification and/or full registration with the New Zealand Social Worker Registration Board
  • At least 2 years of experience working with vulnerable children and families
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A commitment to bi-cultural practice and a culturally responsive approach
