The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations invites applications for a full-time Preceptor in Korean. The preceptor will act as instructor in charge of one or more levels of Korean taught at Harvard, between elementary and advanced.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in Korean language classes
  • Train and supervise instructors in the Korean program
  • Develop curriculum and instructional materials

Requirements

  • M.A. degree in Korean Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Foreign Language Education, or a closely related field
  • Ph.D. degree (or ABD) preferred
  • Experience teaching modern Korean at the college level in the United States
  • Specialization in Korean pedagogy and second language acquisition highly desirable
