About the Job

We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Solar Electrical Engineer with expertise in solar power systems and grid connection processes to join our Sydney-based team.

">

This role is critical in ensuring seamless integration of solar power projects into the electrical grid while adhering to regulatory standards and optimizing solar energy system performance.

">

Main Responsibilities

">

Manage the integration of solar power systems into the electrical grid.

">

Ensure compliance with New Zealand regulations for grid connection.

">

Analyze grid connection requirements for solar projects.

">

Develop and review technical specifications for grid connection.

">

Collaborate with project teams, developers, and grid operators to achieve project success.

">

Resolve technical issues related to grid connection and solar system performance.

">

Provide guidance on grid codes and standards to internal and external stakeholders.

">

Essential Qualifications

">

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

">

A minimum of 8 years of experience in utility-scale power plant grid connection and electrical engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plant grid connection.

">

Proficiency in solar design software such as PVSyst, HOMER, HelioScope, etc.

">

Familiarity with New Zealand grid requirements and standards.

">

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

">

Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

">

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team and travel as needed.
