About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Experience Director to join our team in Hornby. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering a warm, welcoming shopping experience and ensuring our store stays at the top of its game.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop, including presentation, stock-sorting, pricing and opening and closing procedures.
  • Lead a team of Assistant Managers, Volunteers and support an effective and collaborative team environment.
  • Recruit, train and retain shop employees with the support of the Retail Regional Manager.
  • Foster a positive team culture by providing training and development opportunities to enhance customer service and skills.
  • Develop and maintain monthly reports on shop performance, sales trends, donations, and volunteer activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of retail operations, stock management, sales drivers, administration, banking and cash handling.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a management role, preferably in retail or a customer service oriented role.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, train, and develop teams, ensuring high performance and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult situations and de-escalate conflicts effectively.
