Engineering Leadership Position for Auckland Council

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our Auckland Council team and drive innovation in software engineering.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of Software Engineers, guiding them towards excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities:- Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of Software Engineers.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive innovation and improve team performance.
- Ensure high-quality standards, compliance with best practices, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align projects and initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably in software engineering or technology.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices is desirable.
