About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Services Officer to join our Enterprise Services Group. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and administrative functions to support the success of New Zealand Customs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Purchasing goods and services, including obtaining quotes and preparing purchase orders.
  • Managing uniform ordering, issue, and recording duties.
  • Coordinating mail and courier distributions.
  • Arranging building services repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintaining security systems and programming.
  • Issuing staff and visitor passes and security access cards.
  • General motor vehicle fleet management.
  • Assisting with corporate tasks at other Customs locations.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a client-centric focus, professional attitude, high integrity, calm manner, and sound judgment. You will also be required to work collaboratively as part of a small team and demonstrate strong communication skills. As a Corporate Services Officer, you will be based at one of our two corporate occupancies and may be required to work at other locations on occasion.
