**Planning and Consenting Expert**

We are seeking an experienced Planning and Consenting Expert to join our team at Whanganui District Council. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our region through innovative and sustainable planning practices.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sound, expert, and robust advice on the Resource Management Act and the District Plan.
  • Represent council and RMA interests in pre-application meetings and hearing committees.
  • Support and participate in the long-term and annual planning processes for Council when required.

**Your Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Tertiary qualification in resource management planning or a similar related qualification.
  • Previous experience in the planning field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the Resource Management Act legislation.

**Our Benefits:**
