About the Role:

This 12-month fixed-term Licence Specialist role plays a vital part in the Licence team, supporting the management, reporting, administration, issuing, and auditing of Zespri Proprietary Licences in New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the full lifecycle of Zespri proprietary licences, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and rapidly resolving grower issues through proactive knowledge of Zespri's business processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Administration and management of Zespri proprietary licences, including issuing, transfers, and audits.
  2. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with growers, legal advisors, post-harvest operators, and other key stakeholders.
  3. Efficiently resolving grower issues through proactive knowledge of Zespri's business processes.
  4. Managing GPS audits, resolving licence non-compliance, and recommending corrective actions. Liaising with the Finance team on processes related to licences, including invoicing, payments, debt collection, and reconciliations.
  5. Supporting the pre-validation and allocation processes for annual license releases, working closely with internal teams and legal.

  • Exceptional documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong investigation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Dispute resolution experience and the ability to navigate challenging conversations with external stakeholders.
  • Solid written and verbal skills.
  • Diverse and critical thinking skills, with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
  • Competency to understand and review legal/contracts/property documentation.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • The ability to conduct research, investigate facts, and develop/recommend solutions for potential legal disputes.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, SAP, CRM packages, SharePoint, and other administrative software tools.
