**Job Overview**
Pukekohe Playcentre is a vibrant early learning centre dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children to thrive. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Education Support Worker to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-on-one support to children with development requirements, working in partnership with other educators to enable children to attend the centre safely, learn, and play alongside their peers.
About the Role
- This part-time position offers 3 hours of work per week, on Thursdays from 9am–12pm.
- Requires a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or equivalent, or higher Early Childhood Education qualification.
- Desirable skills include knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki, great time management, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to support and empower parents, whanau, and caregivers.
Requirements
- Hold a valid NZ residency or a current NZ work visa.
- Confidence when speaking within a group.
- A passion for supporting Te Reo Māori and tikanga, and engaging all whanau to feel a sense of belonging.
