Job Overview

Tewhatuora is seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmologist to join our team in Wellington. As a key member of our Ophthalmology Department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive eye health services to our patients.

Your primary responsibilities will include providing elective care to patients with General Ophthalmology and Cataract Surgery needs. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Vocationally registered in Ophthalmology with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
  • FRANZCO or equivalent qualification and ability to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
  • Strong clinical skillset, with a focus on General Ophthalmology and Cataract management
  • Able to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team
