About the Job
We are seeking Orthopaedic Registrars to join our team at Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti (Gisborne). This role offers daily opportunities for learning and growth, with direct supervision from experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon Consultants/Senior Medical Officers. Our Registrar year runs from January 2025 to January 2026, accredited for Rural Hospital Medicine Training Program through the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
- Work in Operating Theatre, Fracture Clinic, Inpatient Ward, and Outpatient settings
- Collaborate with assigned Orthopaedic Surgeon Consultant/Senior Medical Officer
- Contribute to the development of Rural Hospital Medicine Training Program

Requirements
- At least 2 Years postgraduate experience and Senior House Officer level placement in an Orthopaedic Department
- Eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- NZ or Australian citizenship or resident status, or appropriate visa for living and working in NZ
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or commitment to learning and growth
- Experience in projects/initiatives applying Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, especially in healthcare settings
