About Us

Te Papa is a world-class museum and convention centre in Wellington, delivering event operations and hospitality across both Te Papa and Takina, Wellington's newest Convention and Exhibition Centre. Our team prides itself on being a friendly and supportive environment, where everyone feels valued and respected.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and preparation of all menu items to the highest standards
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Assist in the development of new menu items and concepts

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of chef experience, with a minimum of 6 months working in a similar level position
  • Cooking/Chef Qualification
  • The ability to work under pressure within a positive work environment
  • Basic organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work according to agreed targets and urgent demands
  • The ability to work as part of a team
