The Global Communications team at Xero is a high-energy group passionate about storytelling, culture, and people. This role involves working closely with senior team members to support key projects and initiatives. As a Communications Advisor, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our communications objectives and drive external and internal communication strategies.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality communication materials, including drafting key assets like media releases, messaging, Q&A documents, interview briefing documents, media lists, customer blogs, internal communications, and social media posts.
Review media releases promptly, contribute ideas for story pitching, media events, and other engagements.
Ensure consistency in messaging across team assets and documents, presenting information clearly and aligned with the business's overall goals.
Undertake targeted research to provide insights that shape delivery of our customer and external communication activities.
Support the team by coordinating project management tools and facilitating specific projects as required by senior members.
Requirements:
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing with at least 4 years of industry experience.
- Experience writing for different audiences across various channels.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, think both practically and creatively, and possess excellent written skills and attention to detail.
- Strong planning and project management skills, as well as excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal abilities.
