Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer or Architect to lead the design and implementation of a new UHT production line at our Meadow Fresh dairy manufacturing site in Christchurch. The successful candidate will oversee the design of our strategic growth project, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, high-performing production line that expands our production and drives growth of our UHT business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design solutions that meet user requirements and business needs
- Manage design clashes and ensure seamless design and implementation
- Coordinate with contractors to deliver complete contract scope, including on-time, on-budget, and exceeding minimum quality requirements
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as OEE, reliability, and production throughput
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience in Design Engineering or Architecture, preferably in the Dairy or Food manufacturing industries
- Strong understanding of hygienic design, safety in design, and HAZOP workshop principles
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D layouts (desired)
