Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead the software development of our next-generation SaaS Payroll Product, Datapay. As a technical leader, you will collaborate with the Product and Design team, Tech Leads/Architects, and Development teams to maximise our value delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development of Datapay's API/integration stream, working closely with the Product teams to ensure quality solutions are delivered on time.
  2. Work with payroll application architects to ensure harmonization of internal and external services with the objective of being an API driven business.
  3. Mentor Developers in technical and other complementary team delivery skills.
  4. Ensure that systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and achieving necessary design and systems security standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Integration expertise and experience.
  • Expert knowledge of database technologies such as relational, NoSQL and graph.
  • Experience leveraging event-driven architectures that enable seamless integration and real-time data processing.
  • Extensive public cloud experience using Apache Spark or Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Logic Apps.
  • Experience implementing and optimising data storage solutions, ensuring data encryption, access controls, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
