Persistent Pain Management Position

The Persistent Pain Service at Dunedin Hospital is seeking a skilled Pain Medicine Specialist to join their team. As a Pain Medicine Specialist, you will work closely with patients, their family, and whānau providing advanced level assessment, intervention, and evaluation of their health-related difficulties, working within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

  • This is a unique opportunity to be actively involved in service development and improvement, working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • You will work closely with patients, their family, and whānau, providing individualised care and support to meet their needs.
  • Candidates should hold or be working towards a pain specialist qualification or have a special interest in pain such that you are knowledgeable and experienced in working with complex needs clients.

About You:

  • You will be a confident and effective communicator, bringing a flexible approach with excellent organisational skills to this role.
  • You will also be a strong supportive team player, proactive in the interdisciplinary team.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range between Step 1 ($185,380) and Step 15 ($267,980 per annum pro rata).
