We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Management Accountant to join our Christchurch regional finance team. This role is part of the wider finance team providing support to our contracting business units.
You will be responsible for preparing monthly accounts for a number of business units and working with the rest of the team to deliver further financial tasks. Additionally, there will be scope to carry out business partnering including assessment of costs to assist with tendering, business cases, and process improvement implementation.
In addition to the above, you will:
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including month-end calculations and journals.
- Lead monthly forecasting meetings and profit and loss reviews.
- Analyse financial information to aid in tender submission and business improvement opportunities.
- Assist in preparing monthly claims for customers.
- Prepare ad hoc and analytical reports as required, including reconciliations, investigations, and comparative reporting.
- Train and support assigned business unit managers on financial aspects of their business.
- Participate in developing sustainable reporting for local businesses.
