About the Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced technician to join our team at the University of Canterbury. As a key member of our technical support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and services.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain equipment, including laboratory and sports science tools;
- Provide IT and administrative support to staff and students;
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity;
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals;
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders;
- Monitor and report on technical performance metrics;
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical support role;
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, computer science, biology);
- Proven track record of innovation and problem-solving;
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Valid New Zealand driver's licence;
