Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Kaipuhanga Kaupapa Project Engineer to join our team in a permanent role. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of engineering projects within our Bulk Fuels Network. This diverse role involves coordinating multiple ongoing projects of varying sizes, complexities, and locations, managing deployment, execution, validation, and verification phases, and providing closeout support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement and contracting of engineering project services.
  • Provide advice and support to ensure sites operate effectively and safely.
  • Develop and implement engineering projects and initiatives in high-hazard environments.
  • Manage major engineering projects at Bulk Fuel Assets, including on-site management and guidance as needed.
  • Provide engineering expertise for project design and construction, ensuring appropriate resources are available and secured.
  • Coordinate design and construction services to manage costs and deliverables.
  • Manage project funds, track expenditures, and report variances.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in an engineering and project management role.
  • Understanding of or experience in the oil industry or related heavy industry.
  • SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE IN LARGE-SCALE PLANT ENGINEERING AND MAINTENANCE
  • Qualifications in engineering are essential, with a specialization in Mechanical, Heavy Electrical, or Control Engineering advantageous.
  • Familiarity with information technology and common engineering and maintenance software.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation and regulations, including application to Major Hazard Facilities.
  • Experience in managing contracts and outsourced expertise.
