Our factory in Mt Wellington is a critical part of our operations, and we're seeking a reliable and focused individual to join our team as a Quality Controller.

About the Role: This fixed-term, full-time position is available from April 2025 to January 2026 and plays a vital role in ensuring our products meet the required standards. You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating production processes, implementing quality control procedures, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily pre-operational and compliance checks to ensure the factory is ready to commence production at the designated time.
  • Ensure quality checks are conducted in accordance with company product specifications and third-party requirements.
  • Maintain necessary food safety standards as per the factory's Risk Management Plan (RMP).
  • Undertake product and environmental testing as per the factory sampling schedule.
  • Carry out temperature checking programs to ensure required food safety standards are met.
  • Monitor and evaluate raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with production and management teams to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Act as a culture champion for quality assurance, compliance, and food safety across operations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in food safety and quality work in a factory, supply, and/or logistics environment, ideally in FMCG/Fresh Foods/Fisheries and/or manufacturing.
  • Solid knowledge of health, safety, quality assurance, and food safety.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, high organization skills, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and credibility with people at all levels.
  • Process-driven, keen to learn, and a team player.
