**Job Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Power System Engineer to join our team in Wellington, Hamilton, Auckland, or Christchurch. As a Power System Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and validating dynamic simulation models of transmission and generation assets.

You will support the development and deployment of power system tools and ancillary services, working at the centre of the Electricity Sector. You will engage with industry participants to understand how their assets perform against their obligations.

**Responsibilities**

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing Aotearoa's power system security and engaging with industry participants
  • Developing and validating dynamic simulation models of transmission and generation assets
  • Supporting the development and deployment of power system tools and ancillary services

**Requirements**

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • At least 3+ years' experience in modelling or power system analysis
  • Knowledge with Power System Analysis Tools to support building dynamic power system models and performing load flow and time domain simulations
