Software Deployment and Support Expert

Datacom is seeking an experienced Application Packager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing software packaging and repackaging services to one of our largest customers.
In this role, you'll work closely with colleagues to respond to contracted and project requests, leveraging enterprise-grade tools, processes, and frameworks to ensure timely, professional, and attentive responses. You'll also participate in project planning sessions and project delivery, preparing documentation for use by Operational staff and analysing and rectifying packaging problems.
To succeed in this role, you'll need exceptional knowledge of packaging tools, InstallShield, PACE, and Windows 10, 11, and MacOS operating systems. You'll also require skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, and Jamf. Your ability to troubleshoot, provide excellent customer service, and communicate effectively will set you apart from the competition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide software packaging and repackaging services, covering discovery through to deployment support.
- Package based on BAU tickets as well as project.
- Participate in project planning sessions and project delivery.
- Prepare documentation for use by Operational staff.
- Analyse and rectify packaging problems.
Requirements
- 5 years' IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider.
- Approximately 3 years' experience in a similar Application Packaging role.
- Exceptional knowledge of packaging tools, InstallShield, PACE, Windows 10, 11, and MacOS operating systems.
- Knowledgeable skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, and Jamf.
