We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our clinical team in Dalton, GA. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Preparing treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols">
  • Welcome, comfort, seat, and drape patients as needed">
  • Providing information to patients and staff members by answering questions and requests">
  • Delivering instruments to treatment areas, positioning instruments for dentist access, suction, and passing instruments">
  • Selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in patients' mouths">
  • Exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts">
  • Fabricating temporary restorations, cleaning, and polishing removable appliances">
  • Maintaining patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations">
  • Assisting with dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory">
  • Providing patient education by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions">
  • Documenting dental care services by charting in patient records">
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting operations by keeping information confidential">
  • Maintaining safe and clean working environments by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations">
  • Protecting patients and staff members by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols">
  • Conserving dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results">
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies">
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)">
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills">
  • Completion of Dental Assisting Program">
  • X-ray Certification for the state of GA">
