Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Kaiako to join our team at Te Rau Oriwa Puna Reo. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating a safe and culturally enriched learning environment for our students. This involves delivering Marau Maori aligned with Te Whariki, documenting student progress, and collaborating with colleagues and whanau to achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver Marau Maori aligned with Te Whariki
  • Document student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues and whanau to achieve positive outcomes
  • Support the strategic direction of the organisation

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Teaching for Early Childhood Education or Primary – Level 7
  • A current Practicing Certificate issued by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
  • Proven experience working with tamariki
  • The ability to speak te reo Maori
  • A sound understanding of Maori culture, values, and tikanga
  • A full NZ Driver's License
