About The Traveller Movement:
Established in 1999, TM has an award-winning track record of innovative work using a collective community-based approach to address ethnic communities' inequality, exclusion, and discrimination.
We are seeking a skilled Digital and Communications Officer who will spearhead the implementation, design, and delivery of our comprehensive campaign agenda and outreach programme. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in raising our profile and equipping Senior Management Teams and Community Advocates to take advantage of media opportunities that arise.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years' experience in digital communications and public relations, with excellent professional credentials. They will be a self-starter, highly motivated individual who can work effectively in a part-time capacity (14 hours per week) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Suitable candidates from the Romani Traveller Roma communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive campaign agenda and outreach programme
- Work with Senior Management Teams and Community Advocates to raise their profiles
- Identify and leverage media opportunities to promote our cause
- Contribute to the development of innovative digital communication strategies
