Job Description

As a Healthcare Assistant with WOFO, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients. This is a dynamic and rewarding position that requires a high level of empathy and compassion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient handling assistance as required, including the correct use of lifting equipment and assisting with walking frames and other equipment.
  • Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and care, including assistance with patient sponging/showering/bathing, bed making, and preparing the room for admission.
  • Complete delegated tasks promptly without constant supervision.
  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance by using equipment safely, reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly, and following required policies and procedures, including infection control.
  • Restock materials and complete cleaning duties as required.
Requirements
  • Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent).
  • Exceptional people skills with empathy and compassion for all patients.
  • A reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the role, able to perform required duties (including lifting).
  • An excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy.
  • Reliability and honesty with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to undertake police clearance (submitted on your behalf) and undergo a health screening.
