About the Role

This casual position involves providing specialized support to students with identified special needs in a school-based team setting. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a recognized post-secondary program in education assistance or a related field, or possess equivalent college-level training in human services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide individualized support to students with special needs under the direction of the school principal.
  2. Work collaboratively with other staff members to develop and implement strategies to support student success.
  3. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure seamless transitions and minimize disruptions.
  4. Maintain accurate records and adhere to district policies and procedures.

The selected candidate will be required to join the CUPE Local 748 Union and undergo a Criminal Record Check. Training in non-violent crisis intervention will be provided.
