About the Job

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Prep Cook to join our team. As a key member of the back of house team, you will be responsible for preparing menu items according to company recipes and presentation guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Prepare menu items according to company recipe manual and plate presentation
  • Ensure rotation of products and stock levels to maintain kitchen efficiency
  • Assist with assigned prep work, stocking and setting up stations as needed
  • Transport items to and from the kitchen, assist with vendor unloading delivery trucks
  • Clean and maintain kitchen area throughout shift
  • Break down and clean all stations at closing
Requirements
  • Able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
  • Can reach, bend, stoop
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Able to read recipes and food labels
  • Able to read POS ticket orders
  • Communicate ticket times, execute food flow from kitchen to guests, report potential issues to Manager on duty
  • Able to safely use kitchen machinery (Open Flame Grill, Stove, Slicer, etc)
  • Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
  • Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift, lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
  • Ability to hold items weighing up to 5 lbs for long periods of time
  • Work in high temperature, damp environment indoors and minimally outdoors
  • Assist fellow employees with dishwashing and cleaning, as needed
  • Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with company and Florida statutes.
