About the Role:
- We are looking for an individual who can inspect food establishments, address health complaints, and ensure adherence to local laws and regulations.
- The successful candidate will perform inspections to maintain compliance with the Food Act 2014 and work with stakeholders to raise public health awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Environmental Health Specialist will identify health risks and recommend preventive actions, handle pollution-related issues, and support the team by collecting drinking water samples in Whanganui.
- The role requires a strong analytical and communication skillset, as well as the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A National Diploma in Environmental Health Science (or equivalent) or a willingness to gain the qualifications.
