Quality Improvement Director

We are seeking a Quality Improvement Director to join our team at AUTOBAG Brand Automated Systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive quality improvement strategies and actions achieving continuous improvement in plant, customer quality and food safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in quality improvement methodologies as part of the site leadership team.
- Coach and be a role model of the behaviors required to achieve excellent performance both within our plant and for our customers.
- Act with urgency to protect the customer and expedite return to steady state.
- Accountable for performance metrics including but not limited to PPM, Blocked stock, spoilage and customer complaints.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A tertiary qualification in an engineering or science discipline.
- Proven experience in Quality roles within the Packaging/Chemical industries, with strong knowledge of Quality processes and standards.
- Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent (or willingness to achieve certification within 12 months).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving quality improvements, leading cross-functional teams, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
