About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Leader in the Pre and Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Auckland City Hospital. As a senior nursing role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, managing nursing staff, and providing clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient flow within PACU, ensuring efficient and safe care delivery.
- Manage and develop a team of registered nurses, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes and improve departmental performance.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and education programs to enhance nursing practice and patient safety.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in PACU nursing, with at least 5 years of experience.
- Excellent clinical leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and families.
