About the Role

The primary purpose of this Senior Nursing opportunity is the development of clinical practice through education and improving patient outcomes in community and tertiary settings. You will work collaboratively with our Oncology leadership team to support the implementation of Oncology services regionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver education to the oncology nursing workforce to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide professional and clinical leadership to support the development of clinical practice
  • Prioritize workload and manage competing demands effectively
  • Work collaboratively with the Oncology leadership team to implement regional Oncology services
Requirements
  • A commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
  • Minimum Level 3 preferably Level 4 practice chemotherapy certified RN with a strong oncology nursing background
  • Postgraduate qualifications, preferably to master's level with a focus on adult education
  • Experience in adult education and innovative mindset
  • Excellent people and project management skills
  • Competency in using IT systems, e.g. Microsoft Excel and various local databases
  • Ability to travel to regional sites
