**About the Role**
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Advisor to join our team at the New Zealand Government. As a Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for analysing applications against legal tests under the Overseas Investment Act 2005 and providing advice on overseas investment risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate national interest and national security risk
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure effective decision-making
- Provide clear and concise advice to decision-makers, applicants, and the public
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to overall improvements of our system and regulatory regime
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary degree in law, economics, commerce, accounting, or prior experience in a relevant field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
What We Offer
- Competitive salary range of $103,000 - $118,000 depending on skills and experience
