About this Opportunity

The Tribe Group seeks an exceptional Technical Accounting Lead to play a key leadership role within the Financial Accounting and Control team.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality financial accounting services in support of strategic objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on accounting standards, taxation, and financial compliance.
  • Oversee preparation of key financial statements and manage external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with NZ tax laws and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification with 7+ years of experience in financial accounting.
  • Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, tax legislation, and financial reporting.
  • Previous experience in a Big 4 audit firm or similar complex environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial insights and influence decision-making.
