As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality of our drinking water, while also promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship.

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at the Tuakau Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the treatment plant process performance, performing routine operational checks and adjustments, and ensuring compliance with Drinking Water Quality Assurance Regulations (DWQAR).

**Key Responsibilities:**
Carry out regular plant operational checks and adjustments to ensure DWQAR compliance
Keep accurate records of plant operations and maintenance activities
Perform standard operating procedures and receive chemicals as required
Assist in the development and review of standard operating procedures
Participate in an out-of-hours callout roster providing emergency coverage for the water treatment plants within the Southern area

**Requirements:**
The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, plant processes, and report preparation, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and asset databases. A Certificate or Diploma in Water Treatment would be beneficial, and a full NZ Driver's License is required. Additionally, a technical or trades qualification in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation discipline would be desirable.
