**About the Role:**

The CAE and Materials Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the development of new products and technologies at Musashi North America.

This role involves working closely with product development teams to create innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials science and engineering, as well as experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and materials testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural and fatigue FEA of automotive suspension and power train components
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to optimize designs
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of solid mechanics, materials, and finite element methods/analysis
  • Plan and conduct materials testing to develop a detailed understanding of materials performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, automotive, or materials engineering or related discipline
  • 0-3 years' experience in a related field
  • Master's degree in mechanical, automotive, or materials engineering is an asset
  • Eligible for EIT or P.Eng designation preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive product development experience
  • Hands-on testing experience, materials testing, and results analysis
  • Experience with FEA software (Abaqus or similar)
  • Experience with HyperMesh/HyperWorks
  • Fatigue testing and analysis experience
