About the Role:
Conduct audits of crop production systems to verify compliance with certification standards.
Analyze records and processes to assess adherence to regulatory and food safety requirements.
Prepare and deliver accurate, timely audit reports.
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge in food safety, regulatory requirements, and audit techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits of crop production systems to verify compliance with certification standards.
- Analyze records and processes to assess adherence to regulatory and food safety requirements.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely audit reports.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge in food safety, regulatory requirements, and audit techniques.
Requirements:
Tertiary diploma (2+ years) in horticulture, agricultural science, or a related field.
At least 2 years' experience post-study in the agricultural industry.
A total of 3 years' experience in agriculture-related work.
Lead auditor training based on ISO/IEC Principles, minimum duration of 37 hours.
Practical auditing experience of 10 days in management systems (e.g. ISO/IEC 9000, BRCGS Food or GLOBALG.A.P. Option 2 standards).
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to analyze processes objectively and ensure adherence to standards.
- Effective time and project management skills.
