This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced professional to join the Safety & Wellbeing (S&W) Lead Team. The successful candidate will manage the S&W Business Partners to drive safety and wellbeing initiatives that make a real impact on operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the S&W team to drive safety and wellbeing initiatives
  • Provide subject matter expertise and competent advice to business unit leaders
  • Manage critical incidents, ensuring swift and effective responses while liaising with regulators
  • Lead risk assessments using advanced methods like HAZOP and Bowtie to develop practical safety controls
  • Foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • A recognised tertiary level qualification in health and safety
  • Expertise in safety investigations (ICAM) and risk analysis (HAZOP, Bowtie)
  • Advanced knowledge of the HSW Act and its regulations
  • Proven experience in incident management and emergency response
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development in unionized environments
