Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) team at Rotorua Hospital.
  • You will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to newborn babies and their families, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to babies in SCBU
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each baby
  • Provide education and support to parents and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care

Requirements:

  • Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate in Paediatrics
  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)
  • Experience in paediatric nursing, preferably in SCBU
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
